Waste Connections of Canada, the leader in non-hazardous solid waste management in North America is looking for a Customer Service Representative/ Receptionist is to join our team in Parksville, BC.
We are looking for an SAFETY inclined, energetic, autonomous and proactive team player capable of making a difference in his/her team and community.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum High school diploma
  • 3-5 years directly related to office administration
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office Applications
  • Organizing and coordinating skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily administrative tasks including establishing work priorities
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and assist local customers and residents with their waste collection inquiries
  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
  • Serve visitors by greeting and assisting them or directing them to the appropriate party
  • Perform clerical and reception duties including sorting incoming mail, filing, photocopying, faxing, office organization, etc.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of reporting procedures
  • Place office supply orders
