About the Role

  • Maintaining, developing and leading strong client relationships
  • Managing and delivering a broad range of technical customs and excise (“C&E”) advisory projects for clients of all sizes and across a range of industry sectors
  • Supporting clients with optimising supply chain movements and clearance from a C&E perspective
  • Researching and analysing a wide range of C&E issues and implications
  • Supporting clients with tax authority interventions
  • Leading global offerings for multi-national clients
  • Working with our Tax Technology Consulting (“TTC”) practice to help clients meet and manage global customs & excise footprints
  • Playing an active role in leading the team and the strategy of the group
  • Mentoring and guiding juniors team members
  • Develop high-performing people and teams through challenging and meaningful opportunities
  • Active involvement in thought leadership in the area of C&E and collaboration across the Deloitte network
  • Deliver exceptional client service; maximize results and drive high performance from people while fostering collaboration across businesses and borders
  • Influence clients, teams, and individuals positively, leading by example and establishing confident relationships with increasingly senior people
  • Understand key objectives for clients and Deloitte; align people to objectives and set priorities and direction

About You

  • Prior Customs & Excise experience preferably from professional services.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • ACA/CTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Excellent client facing, relationship building and business development skills.
  • An ability to analyse information, identify issues and prioritise them.
