Position Summary
The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the general operations of a branch of less than 5 employees. Ensures the smooth timely release and delivery of less than 50 transaction per day

Key Responsibilities (Supervisory/Materials/Information)

  • Monitor on a continuous basis the work in progress to meet customs deadlines, client delivery requirements, expedite release of shipments, corporate invoicing and credit requirements.
  • Daily planning of efficient staff assignments for 5 or less people.
  • Communicate with clients, customs, trucking companies, senior management, other branch offices and departments, other brokers while assisting with difficult tariff classifications
  • General operation of the office adhering to corporate policy and goals, procedures and regulations
  • Implement new corporate and customs policies and procedure and educate staff
  • Managing of employee evaluations, salary increases, vacation requests, absenteeism reports, etc.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Certified Customs Specialist in good standing
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of general brokerage experience
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
