ABOUT US:

We are a distribution company offering logistics, customs clearance, and warehouse services. We are looking for an experienced Customs Brokerage & Compliance Coordinator to oversee customs clearance processes, regulatory compliance, and import/export documentation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a valid work permit to work in Canada (Permanent Resident or Citizen preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, or logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of CBSA regulations, HS codes, tariffs, and duty structures.
  • Proficiency in customs clearance software (CCS, BorderConnect, or similar).
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and process customs clearance documentation for imports and exports.
  • Ensure full compliance with CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency) regulations and other trade requirements.
  • Work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and government agencies to expedite shipments.
  • Classify goods accurately using Harmonized System (HS) codes and apply the correct duty/tariff structures.
  • Utilize customs clearance software (e.g., CCS, BorderConnect, or similar) for electronic declarations.
  • Monitor shipments and proactively resolve customs-related issues to avoid clearance delays.
  • Maintain compliance records, trade agreements, and import/export documentation.
  • Stay updated on customs laws, tariff changes, and trade agreements to ensure company compliance.
