Description:
We are looking for an experienced Customs Clearance Clerk to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks,customs entries, including filing, data entry, and customer service. The ideal candidate should have excellent organisational skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The operators should also have strong communication skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Excellent IT skills
- Good communication skills with colleagues and external customers
- Knowledge of Customs processes or systems
- Ensure legislative compliance in all areas.
- Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures, and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.
- Prepare correct documentation to the Warehouse/Haulage/Distribution/Shipping department for loading/offloading cargo to vehicles, in a timely manner,
- Maintain awareness of and follow transport (and H.M. Customs) regulations, where relevant, to conform to all statutory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Strong understand of CNS
- Proficiency in logistics and sales management
- Experience with transportation management systems and supply chain processes
- Familiarity with CRM software and data entry
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and EDI systems
- Understanding of B2B sales and lead generation strategies
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
