Our customs office specializes in Scandinavian Road freight forwarding and groupage on behalf of DHL. The candidate must have a pro-active approach to workload and will be able to work to tight deadlines. Performance is monitored by weekly KPI’s.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing import and export customs entries using our in-house system Cargowise via CDS or CHIEF
  • Understanding transport documents such as T1’s, CMR’s, commercial invoices, B/L & AWB’s.
  • Competing customs entries via external software such as channel ports
  • Audits
  • Billing Invoices
  • Raising T1’s and various other documents
  • Ensuring T1 documents are discharged
  • Completing relevant customs training and ensuring up to date with customs regulations at all times.
  • Competency with external websites such as CNS / Destin8 / CCS UK
  • Liaising with accounts to ensure duty & VAT is paid promptly
  • Reporting any non-compliances to your manager
  • Dealing directly with government bodies such as HMRC and border force
  • Competency with the trade tariff and understanding tariff preferences
  • Covering weekend clearances if necessary. (bank holidays paid at overtime rate)
