Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Cutting Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining cutting machines to produce parts and materials according to specified dimensions and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow safety protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in machinery operation is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years experience is required.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and operate machinery for extended periods.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
    Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate cutting machines such as saws, laser cutters, or CNC machines.
  • Operate die-cutting machines, including flatbed, rotary, or laser die cutters, to create various shapes and designs according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Operate folding machinery to fold paper and other materials accurately and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine cutting specifications.
  • Measure and examine finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of die-cutting processes, materials, and techniques.
  • Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of cutting machines to prevent downtime.
  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
