JOB SUMMARY

The Cyber Project Manager’s role is to aid the security management efforts of Bugcrowd, to ensure that the highly effective team continues down a path of success. To achieve this goal, we require a motivated individual who is willing to push their own boundaries and step out of their comfort zones. You will be challenged on a regular basis, especially because you will be managing the timelines for dozens of micro-projects (keeping the engineers accountable too)! The Cyber Project Manager will receive mentoring from the team, while providing mentoring to others. The role requires excellent communication skills as the cybersecurity department liaises with all other departments within the company.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • At least 3 years in project management plus 3 years’ experience working on IT projects (or the equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Ability to understand IT concepts such as web applications and servers, and be relatively tech savvy
  • Accepts and adapts to change readily
  • Can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal
  • Learns quickly when facing new problems; enjoys the challenge of an unfamiliar task; quickly grasps the essence and underlying structure of issues and/or tasks
  • Excellent English verbal, listening and written communication skills
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to create presentations for the business with guidance from the TISO
  • Ability to display work output by graphical means and summarize projects upon request

Responsibilities:

  • Leads and manages the successful delivery of projects through the entire project lifecycle
  • This requires managing scope, time, cost, risk and quality while maintaining a positive environment that promotes a high performing team and manages relationships and expectations
  • Provides expert leadership to highly visible and multi-faceted projects while motivating and fostering coordination across teams to deploy solutions
  • Work with business units to determine project drivers, goals and visions to ultimately produce project deliverables
  • Proactively manage (with minimal supervision) all tactical aspects of a project: budget, schedule, scope, issues/risks, quality, communication, and team members on a regular basis
  • Work closely with the team on an ongoing basis to ensure project requirements are clearly defined, met, and understood
  • Oversee the development of project deliverables and ensure they are aligned with project goals
  • Understand and effectively manage the relationship of a project manager, project sponsors and team members to benefit project health and status
  • Balance workloads and responsibilities of multiple projects to multiple project sponsors and management teams simultaneously
  • Ensure teams fully understand their commitment to projects and manage to ensure expectations are met or exceeded
  • Work with the Technical Information Security Officer (TISO) to build and improve project management tools, ongoing practices and knowledge sharing
  • Mentor employees on Project Management duties, responsibilities and best practices
  • Research and prioritize incoming inquiries and requests directed to the Executive team, handling sensitive and confidential matters appropriately
  • Anticipate the needs of team and provide proactive support
  • Prepare meeting agendas, materials, and presentations; attend meetings and conferences as required
  • Support ad-hoc department projects with discretion and sensitivity to confidential information
