Description:

My client is seeking a Cyber Security Administrator. This role involves safeguarding digital information, networks, and systems. The successful candidate will be involved in planning and implementing security measures, supporting the development and operation of our cybersecurity program, and ensuring consistent security measures across applications and integration points.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct vulnerability scanning and collaborate with external partners for penetration testing and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address or mitigate identified security issues.
  • Develop and maintain a data classification framework/policy.
  • Enhance the security of operational technology within facilities.
  • Work with development teams to ensure consistent security measures across applications and integration points.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams on cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Manage and review vendor and customer security audits and assessments.
  • Oversee employee security awareness training and phishing simulations.
  • Contribute to the development of cybersecurity policies.
  • Create, maintain, and test incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
  • Monitor network security, perform intrusion detection, and address vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in incident response and disaster recovery efforts.
  • Investigate and escalate security threats or incidents, and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Stay informed on security trends, methods, and techniques.
  • Evaluate and recommend the implementation of complex security systems.
  • Ensure data encryption during transmission and storage.
  • Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of Cyber Security, especially within the Manufacturing industry
  • Proficient in Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and Cisco Technologies
  • Demonstrable expertise in Cloud Technologies and Database Management
  • Familiarity with AB Testing, Auditing, and Configuration Management
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Cyber Security practices
  • Proficiency in Linux, with a particular focus on Linux security
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Multi-Factor Authentication is crucial
  • Must be able to identify, analyze, and mitigate threats to internal information technology (IT) systems and networks
  • Ability to develop and implement security standards, procedures, and guidelines
  • Should be able to conduct system security evaluations, audits, and reviews
  • Ability to develop strategies to handle security incidents and coordinate investigative activities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information security concepts to technical and non-technical staff
  • Preferred certifications: Cisco CCNA, CCS, CCNP, CCIE, or security certifications CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISM, CISSP, CCSP or CISA.
