Description:

Lynden Incorporated is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst II to work as part of our SeaTac based team. You will dive into the operational side of things, ensuring our digital defenses are top-notch under the guidance of the Director of Infrastructure & Cyber Security. Consider yourself the go-to expert for managing and fine-tuning the security tools and strategies that keep us safe. With your hands-on experience and a wealth of certifications (or just solid expertise), you will have the autonomy to make real-time decisions, collaborate with teams across the company, and mentor the up-and-coming talent on our team. This is not a safety-sensitive position.

WHO WE ARE:

Lynden is a family-owned transportation and logistics company that allows our customers to balance speed and budget by shipping via air, land, or sea. As a corporate office with 95 IT employees, we support 15 sister companies with over 2,500 employees. Having not had a layoff in 40+ years, we offer you job stability in a career that will be an adventure!

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • 5-7 years of experience in cyber security or related IT roles, focusing on security analysis, incident response, and risk management.
  • Information Security related certification (GSEC, Security+, CEH, SSCP, GCIH, CISM)
  • A bachelor’s degree in cyber security
  • Commitment to staying updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies through continuous education, training, and certifications.
  • Experience in developing, executing, and managing incident response plans.
  • Ability to respond to and manage security incidents in a timely and efficient manner, including conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in using security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus software, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
  • Experience with network security protocols and practices.
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix) and their security configurations.
  • Familiarity with cloud security and experience securing cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and mitigate security threats.
  • Ability to conduct thorough security assessments, vulnerability assessments, and audits.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to create detailed security reports, documentation, and policies.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with different departments to implement security measures.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior security team members

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • We work in a casual office setting with an on-site gym.
  • Easy access to Link Light Rail or free onsite parking
  • Our atmosphere is enjoyable and results-driven but focused on balancing personal life, health, and well-being.
  • This is a hybrid position with 2 days on-site after training period.
