Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer
Location: Preston or other sites considered. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Up to £53,000 depending on experience and skills

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

• Knowledge of deploying, configuring and supporting Endpoint Security technologies i.e. Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Cloud, XDR)
• A good technical background with proven experience in an IT/Cyber Security role
• Trellix experience not required but beneficial
• Background of prior experience of information/cyber security (Government or commercial sector) – Desirable

• Work as part of a team safeguarding BAE Systems UK enterprise IT infrastructure against cyber threats through the configuration, installation and maintenance of Cyber Security Technical Control Software solutions and compensating controls
• Act as primary SME for Microsoft Defender to take a lead role in the planning, configuration, and deployment of Defender technologies
• Supporting the development of monitoring/reporting/processes around Microsoft Defender, and other security tools including Trellix
• Provide guidance/training/documentation in support of team members where required
• Work as part of a dynamic team safeguarding BAE Systems Cyber infrastructure against cyber security threats
