Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a talented and experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join our client in State Government sector.
This is initially 6-month contract with a view of an extension.
You will have the chance to make a profound impact on the resilience and defense of our State Government digital landscape by ensuring that the systems and data are impenetrable.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in Windows Defender, M365 security suite, a solid understanding of the Essential 8 controls framework, and the ability to configure endpoints and servers to enhance the cyber security posture.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Cyber Security Analyst, with a focus on Windows Defender, M365 security suite, and endpoint/server configuration.
- Strong understanding of the Essential 8 controls framework and its application in a corporate environment
Responsibilities:
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential weaknesses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the organisation’s security policies and procedures are followed.
- Stay updated on the latest cyber security threats and industry best practices to proactively address emerging risks.
- Assist in incident response and provide guidance on remediation strategies.
Experience:
