Description:
CYBER SECURITY ENGINEER PLAINID (REMOTE)
We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer for a global aerospace company. In this role, you will be creating, managing and maintaining the PlainID rules engine. You will need to routinely engage with customers to understand requirements, application specific details and empower application owners and data stewards to help create and manage rules.
This is a 12-month contract (extensions likely), 40-hour-per-week (4-day 10-hour shifts per week) role, this is a remote role in the US.
This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Overall, 8+ years’ experience in information management or information security roles
- 3+ years’ experience (of the total) in identity engineer roles
- 3+ years of experience working as a product owner of an information technology or cyber security product.
- Must have experience in PlainID rules engine.
- Clear understanding of the large enterprise Identity and Access Management landscape including how authentication and authorization are related to enterprise operations.
- Understanding of how system performance is impacted by authorization rule structure.
- Understanding of front end development (I.e. Angular, React, HTML5).
- Firm understanding of REST API and SQL/JDBC filtering using policy based access techniques. (structured, un-structured, and semi-structured data models).
- Demonstratable advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation: $70.00/hr
Responsibilities:
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in the dynamic authorization space.
- Develop a self-service model for application and data owners to write natural language authorization rules when their data sets are integrated with a 3rd party authorization engine.
- Develop and document guardrails for policy based authorization rules when implemented centrally.
- Collaborate with product managers and security architects to support the translation of business requirements into effective rules.
- Optimize rule performance and ensure scalability for large deployments.
- Support and maintain platform infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
- Operate within an Agile product structure including breaking down work into epics and stories in Jira that capture product team output.
- Write, maintain, follow, and publish policies, procedures, and knowledge articles that guide users to leverage a centralized rules engine to manage authorization to their data
