Description:
As the Cyber Security Incident Commander, you will play a crucial role in ensuring swift and effective responses to high-priority security incidents and threats targeting Knauf. Your primary objective is to coordinate and oversee the response efforts, ensuring timely communication, task delegation, and proactive resolution of emerging threats. Working closely with the CSIRT cyber crisis team, you will contribute to maintaining the security and resilience of Knauf’s digital infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the response to high-priority Cyber Security Incidents from start to finish within the Cyber Crisis Team.
- Establish and manage communication channels during incidents, ensuring timely updates and effective collaboration among team members.
- Onboard and train team members on best practices for incident communication, ensuring all participants are well-prepared.
- Rapidly assess incidents, make critical decisions, and prioritize actions throughout the incident lifecycle for efficient resolution.
- Delegate tasks and oversee execution, escalating issues to senior or specialized personnel as needed to expedite resolution.
- Prepare and distribute regular status reports to stakeholders, maintaining team focus and morale during high-pressure situations.
- Conduct thorough post-incident analysis, prepare final reports, and drive the implementation of improvements based on lessons learned.
- Support proactive responses to emerging threats, such as zero-day vulnerabilities, by managing communication and coordinating tasks across teams.
