JOB SUMMARY

We have an exciting opportunity for two Cyber Security Monitoring Advisors in our Digital and Technology group.

These are full- time opportunities, on a permanent basis. The role will be based in 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf London, E14 4PU or South Mimms, Hertfordshire. Please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas. We are currently operating a hybrid way of working, with a minimum of 40% of contracted hours working on site to enable the collaboration and contact with partners and stakeholders needed to deliver MHRA business. This may rise to 60% during the year. Attendance on site is driven by business needs so depending on the nature of the role, some roles will need to be on site more regularly.

  • These roles are required to participate the in 24-hour security and operations incident response rota on a periodic basis. An on-call allowance will be paid based for this.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The successful candidate will have at previous experience of working in a cyber security team and will help to deliver the agency’s security agenda.
You will have a track record of managing and resolving cyber security vulnerabilities and you will be adept at communicating complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
You will be used analysis a range of data and information from internal and external sources to support decisions and be able to present strong recommendations in a timely manner, which consider a range of options, costs, benefits and risks. You should be a strong communicator and be able to build relationships across different teams.

Responsibilities:

WHAT’S THE ROLE?

These roles exist to ensure that cyber security is maintained throughout the MHRA. The role requires a technically skilled Cyber Security Monitoring Advisor to join a team of cyber security staff to help shape and deliver the agency’s cyber security agenda.
The roles sit within the Cyber Security Team within the Technology & Service Operations function within The Digital and Technology Group. It will help to enable several key cyber security initiatives which will help to maintain and build the cyber security of the agency.
