QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- 3-year bachelor’s degree or diploma in Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in cybersecurity or business continuity planning.
- Experience developing and delivering training programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and contracts.
- Strong understanding of BCP, DR, and IRP processes.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity regulations and standards.
- CompTIA certifications such as Security+, Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), in progress or willing to obtain.
- Able to provide a criminal reference check that is satisfactory to the Town of Ajax (dated within the last six months), upon hire.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Town’s cybersecurity awareness, training and policies including Security training program design and delivery
- Collaborate with all departments to update and maintain their disaster recovery processes, business continuity plans and will support the town in the event of a disaster.
- Responsible for the Town’s Business Continuity Plan, Disaster Recovery Plan, Emergency management and Incident Response Planning.
- Manage security vendor relationships and contracts
- Develop/implement the Town’s cybersecurity policies and procedures
