THE OPPORTUNITY

The Cybersecurity team is part of Advisory and Digital Services and helps to improve the resilience of a client’s digital assets including systems, networks, and data to manage evolving threats and risks while using the latest risk management, compliance and consulting skills and tools to advise our clients to ensure their assets are always at their most effective and efficient for their customers.

We’re looking for graduates who are currently pursuing a Level 8 or above qualification in a relevant discipline, including but not limited to:

  • Electronic and Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science and Machine Learning, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Management and Analytics, Cyber Security

We’re looking for graduates who are currently pursuing a Level 8 or above qualification in a relevant discipline, including but not limited to:

  • Electronic and Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science and Machine Learning, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Management and Analytics, Cyber Security.

    We also value:

  • A demonstrated interest in one of the disciplines described above.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines as projects will be time bound.
  • Preferable to have a security related certification from any of the following organizations: GIAC, ISC(2), ISACA, ISA, CompTIA, EC-Council, Offensive Security, PMI, Cisco, Microsoft, Amazon.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to apply learning and skills to a wide variety of projects.
  • Strong report-writing and general communication skills.
  • Solid planning, analytical and organisation skills.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.
  • Ability to engage with clients and partners in the development of project requirements.

As a part of the Cyber Security team in Arup you would be given the opportunity to work on a wide scope of projects. Below are examples of clients we work with:

  • Transport Infrastructure Ireland,
  • Canadian Rail Co-operations
  • Various Local Authorities in Ireland
