As cybersecurity threats continue to evolve, clients from all industries look to EY for trusted advice, so they can make informed decisions and protect their businesses. As a Manager on our Cybersecurity consulting team, you will have access to and have a hand in building out our robust services, and advising clients on managing cybersecurity risk, enhancing maturity, and improving efficiency. You will belong to an internationally connected team of Managed Detection and Response, Security Operations, Cloud Security, DevSecOps, Digital Identity and Privacy specialists to help our clients with their most complex cybersecurity needs.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Demonstrated track record of success and client cybersecurity consulting relationships in a professional services organization, and/or track record in significantly maturing or transformation an organization’s cybersecurity maturity.
  • Practical experience leading maturity assessments, risk assessments, and testing of controls, using recognized industry frameworks such as NIST, the Cloud Security Alliance’s Cloud Controls Matrix, or the ISO 27001 Cybersecurity Framework
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge and 5-7 years of hands-on experience with key components of cybersecurity consulting incl.:
  • Cyber assessments and road-mapping,
  • Network & infrastructure security,
  • Cyber transformation,
  • Threat detection,
  • Incident response,
  • Vulnerability management,
  • Security governance,
  • Risk and compliance,
  • Security architecture,
  • Data protection,
  • Privacy,
  • Security awareness,
  • Cloud security
  • Demonstrated project leadership abilities
  • Possession of relevant cybersecurity certifications
  • Undergraduate or masters’ degree preferably in one of the following areas: Information Security, Business Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, and/or other related majors

Responsibilities:

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead 2-5 person teams in the delivery of client cyber consulting engagements.
  • Lead other team members in the design and execution of high quality, thorough cybersecurity maturity assessments and threat risk assessments. Engagements vary greatly in scope, but at minimum the candidate should be able to lead execution of a high-quality assessment.
  • Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Candidates should be current on the modern cybersecurity control environment and threat landscape.
  • Establish consulting relationships with client personnel.
  • Demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of complex information systems. Use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry trends to identify engagement and client service issues and communicate this information to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations.
  • Help the firm identify and experience in developing business within the BC market.

PEOPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to people-related initiatives, including development, coaching, recruiting, training and retaining staff
  • Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills of staff
  • Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
