Description:

The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service offers treatment for children and young people up to the age of 18 for mild to severe emotional and mental health needs. There are four multi-disciplinary Community Teams supporting Nottinghamshire along with specialist teams such as Eating Disorders, Head 2 Head, CAMHS Crisis and Home Treatment, CAMHS Neuro, Children Looked After & Adoption, Primary Mental Health, Perinatal services and East Midlands Community Forensic Child & Adolescent Health Service (FCAMHS).
Our core purpose is to work with children and young people and their families/carers, who may be experiencing emotional and mental health disorders that have a significant impact on the child’s development and cause distress to the child and/or their carers. We aim to improve the mental health of all children and young people with the provision of a timely, integrated, high quality, effective, multi-disciplinary county wide service.

TeamNottsHC comprises over 11,000 dedicated colleagues who #MakeADifference every day. We deliver intellectual disability, mental health, community health, forensic, and offender healthcare services across Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, and South Yorkshire. Our care is provided from over 200 sites, spanning community locations, acute settings, and secure environments, including prisons.

We are one of the largest mental health and community Trusts in the East Midlands and one of Nottinghamshire’s biggest employers. We also host national and regional services, such as the National High Secure Deaf Service and the Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health.
We offer a variety of employee-led staff networks, including Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) groups, the Green Champions network, the Freedom to Speak Up network, the Health and Wellbeing Champions network, and the Menopause Champions network. These networks play a vital role in supporting our diverse workforce and promoting a culture of inclusivity.
The health and wellbeing of our colleagues is a top priority. We invest significantly in this through our in-house occupational health and staff counselling services, supported by a dedicated Health and Wellbeing team.
The Trust is committed to reducing its carbon emissions, with a specialised Energy and Environmental team working to ensure compliance with environmental legislation, enhance our environmental performance, and achieve our net-zero commitment
Community CAMHS CYP Wellbeing Practitioner
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Community CAMHS South Team as a qualified CYP Wellbeing Practitioner.
The Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies programme (CYP IAPT) is a service transformation programme delivered by Health Education England (and partners) which aims to improve existing children and young people’s mental health Services (CYP MHS) working in the community.
You will have successfully completed CYPIAPT CYP Wellbeing Practitioner training or be due to finish shortly, and will provide ongoing evidence (video recording) of adherence to evidence-based treatment interventions within supervision.
The Community CAMHS Service in Nottinghamshire supports Children, Young People and their families/carers with their emotional and mental health needs on a continuum of mild to severe, managing complexity, and risks associated.
The Community CAMHS Wellbeing Practitioner will work as a member of the Community CAMHS Team and contribute to the multidisciplinary team. You will deliver (under supervision), high-quality, low intensity outcome-focused, evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. You will promote emotional health and well-being by implementing child and family centred approaches within a multi-disciplinary team to enhance the resilience of children and their carers. There is an expectation the post holder will work collaboratively with other agencies to support the young person and family.
