Role profile:
Drive the beat of the CIO and Engineering Leadership Team behind LSEG’s Data & Analytics (D&A) products. The D&A Engineering team creates and sustains the software, content and data comprising LSEG’s D&A products. This role is centered around driving the operating rhythm for the CIO and Leadership Team in this fast paced and dynamic environment. As part of the COO function that sets and drives the strategy and operating rhythm, this role reports to our COO and Head of Business Management with team members in US, UK and Romania.
Role summary:
As D&A Engineering Business Manager you will run and optimise the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual cadence. You will action specific topics therein on behalf of the CIO across the Leadership Team, supervising actions and holding individuals accountable. Further you will deliver strategic projects and business support activities, contributing to the broader organisational strategy. The ideal candidate thrives in fast paced environments, is known for their attention to detail and has strong influencing skills.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing and supporting operations for D&A Engineering – including streamlining activities to ensure operating rhythm runs smoothly (e.g. leadership team meeting agendas, quarterly offsite, regular annual CIO site visits, etc.)
  • Publishing meeting agendas, chairing relevant meetings, aligning stakeholders ahead of time, preparing pre read, and ensuring post meeting actions are captured, tracked and followed up, driving strong alignment across stakeholders
  • Providing general support for ad-hoc projects and initiatives across various topics, including board presentations, ExCo briefs, events, etc.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience planning, organising and managing resources and activities to achieve specified outcomes, particularly in engineering or technology delivery leadership teams
  • Critical thinking skills to analyse and evaluate facts and information in order to form a judgement that informs a course of action
  • Communication style that emphasizes clarity and precision, presenting complex / technical information in a concise format that is audience appropriate
  • Bias toward analysing, questioning and challenging the way things are done to optimise processes and deliver excellent outcomes
