Overview:
TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a nationally known energy efficiency consultancy. TRC collaborates with clients to develop and implement market transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building in multiple market sectors across the US. These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

TRC Advanced Energy created a Workforce Development program to strengthen our connection to the local community and create enhanced employment opportunities for individuals desiring to enter the clean energy workforce.
TRC is seeking an energetic Data-Analyst Apprentice for a 14-week, paid Workforce Development program. As a Data-Analyst Apprentice, you will learn the skills necessary to provide detailed analysis of program effectiveness and outcomes. By the end of the program, you will be able to research various technologies, develop flow charts, graphs, and checklists, as well as draft program manuals and other documentation. You will understand how to create the analyses of various incentive programs to determine effectiveness and participation.

This position is part of the Strategic Deployment Team, is part of multiple programs, and can report to any TRC office in the US: https://www.trccompanies.com/offices/
Responsibilities:
On-the-Job Training includes but is not limited to:
- Conducting desktop technical reviews of project documents
- Performing technical analysis and energy modeling to support program savings claims and program reporting
- Communicating with program participants to manage and assess project progress and status
- Researching and presenting market intelligence and customer trends.
- Providing technical review and guidance.
- Working with internal team members to populate our customer database to provide project forecasting, market knowledge, customer information, and project documentation
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage time with limited supervision skills
- Advanced computer skills: experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to learn data analysis software (Excel, R Programming, SQL, Tableau),
- Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously with demonstrated attention to detail
- Verifiable work history
- Reliable internet service
- Ability to set up home office using company-provided equipment
- Strong interest in the sustainability and energy efficiency industry
