POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • This technical position focuses on backend data processes, primarily centered around Azure, Power BI Administration, SQL, DAX coding, and Power Apps experience. The role involves administering the Power BI server, managing dashboard deployments, ensuring successful ETL processes, and communicating with end users on project statuses.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1+ years of experience building and supporting reporting and dashboarding platforms.
  • Hands-on PowerBI expertise including DAX and PowerBI Administration.
  • SQL Expertise.
  • Azure experience.
  • Power Apps exposure.
  • Growth Mindset: A strong desire to learn and grow using various tools is essential.
  • Versatility: Interest in becoming a “jack of all trades” in technology, with the ability to adapt and take on new challenges.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills are necessary to work with internal teams and stakeholders effectively.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ETL engineering experience
  • PowerBI Premium

Responsibilities:

  • Power BI Server Administration: Take ownership of Power BI server management, including dashboard deployment, usage monitoring, and overseeing Power BI Premium.
  • ETL Monitoring: Confirm successful ETL completions and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams via Teams to support data-related tasks and ensure smooth operations.
  • Support and Training: Provide support to team members in building visualizations in Power BI, optimizing queries, and improving efficiency.
  • Tool Integration: Work within Databricks and Azure environments, taking on different tasks as needed and showing a willingness to learn new tools.
  • Long-term Vision: This is a long-term position with growth opportunities, including training from experienced team members.
