Description:

Responsibilities:

MAIN PURPOSE:

  • Responsible for the maintenance, improvement, cleaning, and manipulation of data in the business’s operational datasets. Using Brainkind’s existing ETL tool, Alteryx to deliver innovation to Brainkind through workflows, data processing and analytics.
  • The Data Analyst defines and builds the data pipelines that will enable faster, better, data-informed decision-making within the business.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand the needs of the business and translate them into innovative solutions
  • Build robust and effective solutions using the existing tools within Brainkind to meet the needs of the business. These needs be identified through the following routes:
    o Backlog items packaged into sprints
    o Direct request from individuals in the business teams

o Identification of need by the Data Engineer

  • Maintain existing ETL solutions within Brainkind and improve their performance
  • Coach and support citizen developers using the Alteryx ETL tool within Brainkind
  • Be the gatekeeper of the Alteryx production environment testing and signing off on any new workflow being added
  • Develop training videos and other material for Alteryx
  • Host regular internal webinars to encourage the usage of Alteryx throughout the Trust and the sharing of new and innovative solutions
  • Survey the ETL marketplace keeping abreast of the latest innovations
  • Be the technical point of contact with Alteryx and the Alteryx Community
  • Manage all ETL related standards and procedures
  • Develop data visualisation solutions to enable the presentation of our data to the consumers in a more live, interactive and effective way
  • Lead innovation through exploration, benchmarking and making recommendations to the organisation
  • Strive to ensure proper data governance and quality across the Organisation as a whole
  • Play an analytical role; performing ad-hoc analysis of data stored in the business’s various systems
  • Troubleshoot data issues within Brainkind and present solutions to these issues
  • Proactively analyse and evaluate Brainkind’s data systems in order to identify and recommend improvements and optimisation
  • Champion the use of data within Brainkind at all levels including the Senior Leadership Team
  • To undertake, any reasonable travelling requirements, in order to fulfil the tasks and responsibilities of the role
