The University of Toronto Scarborough has been a leader in co-operative education and work integrated learning (WIL), for 50 years. Co-op and WIL give students an opportunity to apply skills learned in the classroom, and to expand their knowledge through related work experience. The Department of Arts and Science Co-op is responsible for preparing over 3000 00 undergraduate students from 58 academic areas to compete for paid co-op work term opportunities. The department is also responsible for engaging industry partners who provide these work terms. A coordinated effort among the stakeholders of student, employer, and university co-op programming contribute to the development of well qualified graduates who are prepared to assume a productive role in society. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in computer science, statistics or relevant area of education; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum four years of recent and related experience in data management & analysis, including experience using Business Intelligence software to extract, translate, load and to create user friendly visual dashboards in order to facilitate data-driven decisions preferably within a higher education environment
  • Data analysis skills, including: designing and generating reports; analyzing data and identifying meaningful trends and results; developing projections to support strategic planning; calculating ROI measurements for marketing and business development activities; and supporting continuous improvement activities.
  • Advanced computers skills essential, including: Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel (specifically pivot tables, formulas, relational tables, Macros) and Visio; Azure Factory and PowerBI preferred. Experience with Informatica, Tableau and other reporting tools an asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills with experience in project management working with multiple projects at a time (Agile & Waterfall project management experience is an asset).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to excel in a highly service-oriented environment
  • Must possess strongi nterpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment and maintain productive and respectful working relationships with all stakeholders including staff, faculty, students and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete many competing demands in order to meet strict deadlines with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion; adhering to established policies and procedures.
