EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in information management, Engineering, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields Years (3) or more years data analyst experience preferred.
  • Must have experience managing large datasets and performing advanced analytics (i.e. Excel modeling, Access)
  • Working experience with Power BI, and SQL
  • Experience with ETL processes (Extract - Transform - Load)
  • Experience with Alteryx & Salesforce are nice to have.
  • Desired Experience using programming language or statistical packages for analyzing datasets.
  • Languages: Fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory (reading, writing, listening, speaking) and Advanced Portuguese will be considered a plus.

  • Strong quantitative skills; math / computer science
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • “Self-starter” with the ability to work well both independently as well as within a team-oriented environment.
  • Innovative thinker and problem-solver; capable of developing new and creative ways of solving complex problems using data.
  • Strong work and time management skills; able to work effectively and independently under tight timelines.
  • Experience in data mining techniques and knowing when their use is appropriate.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching.
  • Ability to present complex data, findings, ideas, and/or information to enable understanding and act.
  • Problem Solving and Critical Thinking: Ability to review the data for trends, drawing logical conclusions based on these findings.
  • Attention to Detail: Vigilant in precision of data analysis to draw the correct conclusion of findings.
  • Able to easily communicate technical concerns and solutions to many different people with varying degrees of technical knowledge as well as work with individuals in IT and InfoSec to help solve their technical issues.

Responsibilities:

  1. Performs logical data modeling, analyzing, and mining business data to identify patterns and correlations among the various data points within a given process from existing internal or external data sources.
  2. Conducts mapping and tracing of data from system to system to solve a given business or system problem, or identification of a business opportunity.
  3. Manipulate data via established analytic models within the company.
  4. Translates data into information that can be effectively utilized in terms that non-technical staff can fully understand.
  5. Identifies problematic areas and conducts research to determine the best course of action to correct the issues within the data.
  6. Analyzes and problem solve issues with current and planned systems as they relate to the integration and management of data.
  7. Analyzes reports of data duplicates or other errors to provide ongoing appropriate inter-departmental communication.
  8. Monitors for timely and accurate completion of select data elements.
  9. Develops and implements data extract, transform and load procedures that optimize data collection and quality.
  10. Interprets data and develops recommendations based on findings.
  11. Generates routine and ad hoc reports.
