In the Data Analyst role within the Modelling and Provision team, the successful candidate plays a key part in supporting budget analysis and maintaining complex modelling tools that underpin data-driven decision-making for the Best Start, Best Life reforms. Key responsibilities include conducting data and budget analysis, supporting journal management and allocations, and translating data into insights to inform decision-making.
ABOUT US
Kindergarten Expansion and Pre-Prep Reform (KEPPR) works collaboratively across the Department and with the sector to undertake place-based service delivery and monitoring, support the ongoing supply of early childhood teachers and educators and deliver infrastructure projects to ensure the success of these reforms.
Responsibilities:
With the introduction of the Best Start Best Life reforms and the ongoing implementation of Three-Year-Old Kindergarten, we have an ongoing opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our committed, collaborative, and supportive team. The purpose of this role is to support policy development and data analysis as part of the Modelling and provision team, within the Policy and Provision of KEPPR.
This role is responsible for supporting budget analysis related to Best Start, Best Life reform, as well as the maintenance and utilisation of a range of complex modelling tools, so strong data skills are essential. This means:
- understanding quantitative impacts of different policy options,
- being highly competent in data analysis and translating data results into insights
- supporting budget analysis, journal management and allocations, and
- using data insights to support business decisions and performance monitoring.
