ABOUT THE TEAM AND POSITION

Carvana is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our team as a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in developing and maintaining key aspects of Carvana’s first-of-its-kind automobile lending platform. Most importantly, you will see your insights have an immediate, tangible impact every day in a well-funded and rapidly growing company.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE/KNOW

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or relevant technical field.
  • Goal-oriented, enthusiastic, self-motivated with the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Extensive background in SQL and relational databases like Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server.
  • Strong fluency in Excel formulas and functions.
  • Experience building dashboards via data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau).
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating abundant information with accuracy.
  • Experience with at least one programming language (i.e., Python).

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure data integrity for Carvana’s multi-billion dollar auto finance business.
  • Develop and implement data gathering and analysis techniques, leveraging data collection systems and strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Continuously improve data solutions to increase data quality and speed of data deliverability.
  • Create reports, specifications, instructions, and flowcharts to effectively communicate analyses, trends, and recommendations to operational teams and business leaders.
  • Evaluate and identify meaningful patterns and trends and provide ongoing reports and recommendations to the business.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reporting packages.
  • Identify problems, solutions, and opportunities for improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
