What You Will Do:

We are currently searching for a Data Analyst. This role includes core database management duties and opportunities for both supporting and leading new data analytic projects supporting the SDN, NIMH: Maintaining and using the SDN clinical database which links cognitive and behavioral measures to sociodemographic, neuroimaging and genomic data elements; Collaborating with programmers to refine database design and query commands; Quality assessment, annotation and entering of data into the database; Working with other SDN members to create bespoke datasets for analysis from the dataset; Liaising with colleagues in departmental Data Science and Sharing and Machine Learning Teams; experience using SQL, Programming R, Python, and having the ability to lead projects. This is a full-time opportunity located in Rockville, MD.

  • Maintaining and using the SDN clinical database.
  • Quality assessment, annotation and entering of data into the database.
  • Working with other SDN members (postbaccalaureate to postdoc level) to create bespoke datasets for analysis from the dataset.
  • Collects and analyzes data for a variety of studies.
  • Organizes data to provide functional reporting.
  • Creates and maintains a variety of reports.
  • Manages storage and backup systems.
  • Participates in the development and design of databases for tracking and statistical purposes that incorporate multiple data fields required by scientists.
  • Assists with coordination of statistical data analysis for numerous ongoing studies by collecting, organizing, and tracking information.
  • Manages projects and quickly responds to inquiries about status.
  • Coordinates statistical data analysis for numerous ongoing studies by collecting, organizing, and tracking information.
  • Develops and designs databases for tracking and statistical purposes that incorporate multiple data fields required by scientists.
