Description:

We are looking for you, if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Sciences, or alike, and/or equivalent,
  • Min. 2 years of experience working in a bank or financial institution,
  • Experience in regulatory reporting (ECB, EBA),
  • Min. 1.5 years of experience working in data analytics or data science,
  • Hands-on experience working with SQL (SQL Developer), SAS/4GL (SAS Enterprise Guide),
  • Curious and analytical mindset,
  • High level of proactiveness and taking initiative,
  • Prioritisation and planning skills,
  • Strong collaborative team player skills, working within and across multiple virtual teams on reporting projects,
  • Broad knowledge of data management, relation databases, data modelling, query optimisation,
  • Ability to identify problems, put facts and ideas together in order to find solutions,
  • Fluent English communication and presentation skills - verbal and written communication (min. C1).

You’ll get extra points for:

  • Experience in working in the area of financial or credit risk,
  • Understanding of the credit process at the Bank,
  • Familiarity with regulations such as Basel III, Basel IV, COREP, FINREP,
  • Experience in working with Agile / Scrum,
  • Ability to question the status quo,
  • Knowledge of techniques used in business analysis,
  • Ability to analyse and understand the Bank’s balance sheet,
  • Experience in working with credit or market risk modelling (PD, LGD, EAD, IFRS9, IRB),
  • Familiarity with Confluence.

  • Conducting data analysis and preparing reports,
  • Identifying opportunities to automate and optimize processes,
  • Critically assessing quality and meaning of data,
  • Identifying and navigating through multiple data sources,
  • Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders,
  • Analysing internal and external regulations,
  • Preparing functional documentation,
  • Building and maintaining relationships with international group of stakeholders,
  • Supporting growth of regulatory expertise within the team.

Information about the squad:
We are looking for specialists / experts to join the Data & Reporting (Chapter) team to support the processes of building management reports in the area of finance and risk. We combine knowledge of credit risk and advanced data processing. We have extensive knowledge of the Bank’s processes, which enables us to understand and interpret data for the purposes of reporting. We work in an international environment, we use English on a daily basis (written and spoken). Our work focuses on data analysis and preparing it for reporting.
The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Data Scientist I”.
