PROJECT CONTROLS / DATA ANALYST INTERNSHIP

We’re looking for an ambitious and intellectually curious student to join our team on an internship to learn, grow and contribute to our goal of a better tomorrow.
This will be based within our Project Controls department.
In this position, you will be requested to analyse and compare data to come to general conclusions and establish benchmarks.
The internship will have to gather information from several sources & Worley systems, bring it together, analyse & review the data and derive benchmarks which we can use internally.

There are several project controls fields in which this needs to happen:

• Estimating, both professional services and capital cost: comparison of estimates against one another and comparison of estimates against actuals
• We want to gain knowledge of the level of consistency between estimates (in terms of hours and cost)
• We want to understand final actuals against estimates to improve future estimates
• Scheduling:
• Knowledge of consistency across schedules (in terms of durations)
• We want to understand final actuals against baselines to improve future schedules

Important to mention is that data is not necessarily organized in a consistent way. As part of data gathering, scrutinizing data to come to comparable data sets will be very important. Therefore, having a basic understanding of engineering, estimating and scheduling and having a technical background is considered as a plus.
