Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Data Analyst to work for our client within the Retail sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend.
This role will be helping to operationalise the reporting process that the client land’s on for each disclosure point. You will be building a large piece of work for Non-Financial Reporting across the organisation. The client is required to respond to new CSRD Regulation (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) and some of the data may be in excel, some may not exist. You will be writing a script to pull the data out or writing a query.
You need to be self-motivated and organised, to drive your own work, and have effective communications skills to work with what can be challenging stakeholders at times e.g. strategic resourcing across commercial teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and document the reporting requirements for CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) disclosures, including data points, metrics, and frameworks for compliance with the latest regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with various departments to gather, validate, and standardise data needed for CSRD and ESG reporting. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data from internal and external sources
- Analyse sustainability data, identify trends, and translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making
- Develop and maintain a robust reporting framework and process that aligns with CSRD standards, ensuring integration with existing financial and non-financial reporting systems
- Partner with finance, sustainability, legal, and compliance teams to ensure clear communication of reporting requirements and regulatory updates. Work with third-party consultants or software vendors where necessary
- Ensure ongoing compliance with CSRD legislation by monitoring evolving regulations and ensuring the reporting framework remains up-to-date.
- Develop detailed documentation for data processes and reporting requirements, ensuring all disclosures are in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in preparing data and documentation for third-party audits and verifications of CSRD-related disclosures
