Job Overview
Midwest BankCentre is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our Enterprise Analytics team, leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for data analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and building data pipelines, transforming data into actionable insights, supporting decision-making, and enhancing data-driven strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs to expand the sources of data captured on our platform.
- Data Management: Ensuring data quality, accuracy, and availability in GCP services such as BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
- Data Transformation: Utilize SQL for data manipulation and transformation, ensuring data is structured for analysis.
- Data Analysis: Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions.
- Data Visualization: Create compelling visualizations and dashboards using tools like Looker Studio and/or Looker to communicate findings effectively.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain regular reports and ad-hoc analyses to support various departments, including marketing, finance, and operations.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success of the data strategy.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a cloud-based environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in SQL and experience with BigQuery.
- Familiarity with GCP services (e.g., Cloud Composer, Cloud Storage, Dataflow).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Looker).
- Understanding data modeling and ETL processes.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large data sets.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Intelligence, or related field.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and tools.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills are essential along with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and under tight deadlines is essential.
