Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Primarily using PowerBI and Microsoft Office tools the Data Analyst will ensure compliance with data governance and data security management, using their strong interpersonal skills to understand stakeholder information requirements to ensure the effective use of data within Parliament of Victoria.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand business needs and facilitate its translation to insightful data representations that support the stakeholders to make informed decisions.
- Deliver high quality datasets and dashboards to support decision makers based on an agreed timeline and plan.
- Communicate high quality insights with team members and stakeholders through interactive data visualizations and dashboards.
- Perform a range of data analytics tasks relevant to the team’s priorities including but not limited to data preparation, analysis and interpretation over a variety of data sources using technology solutions, such as Business Intelligence software and spreadsheets.
- Collect, clean and analyse data sets stored in internal systems.
