JOB DESCRIPTION:

Réalta Technologies are seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst to support a client of ours based in Cork. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing data to support business decisions, generating reports, and identifying trends. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain experience and develop their skills in data analysis, reporting, and business insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Cleaning: Assist in gathering data from various sources, ensure its accuracy, and prepare it for analysis by cleaning and organizing it.
  • Data Analysis: Perform basic data analysis, including generating descriptive statistics, identifying trends, and drawing preliminary insights using tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python/R.
  • Report Generation: Create and maintain regular reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics relevant to business operations.
  • Support Senior Analysts: Work closely with senior data analysts and other team members to assist in complex data projects and provide analytical support as needed.
  • Documentation and Process Improvement: Document methodologies, processes, and procedures related to data handling and analysis. Identify opportunities to streamline data processes and enhance data quality.

Key Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel (including advanced formulas), SQL, and basic knowledge of programming languages like Python or R.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with the ability to interpret and analyze data trends.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Eagerness to Learn: A desire to develop skills in data analysis and a willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and best practices in the field.
