We are currently looking for a Data Analyst at our Calgary base in the Information Technology department.
While you may not be flying the helicopter or providing patient care, as a member of STARS’ IT team, you will play an important role in STARS’ life-saving mission. Be part of something bigger. Be part of our team.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis or a related role
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Azure Data Factory
  • Advanced SQL skills for querying, data extraction, and manipulation
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools including Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for data analysis
  • Understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modeling techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Support the implementation of STARS next generation data warehouse, and extract insightful reports from the warehouse.

  • Respond to data needs and requests from across the organization with a service-first mindset, supporting org members to make good decisions with data.
  • Analyze complex datasets (typically from our flight and clinical operations data systems) to identify trends, correlations, and actionable insights.
  • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or other BI platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data requirements.
