Location: This is a remote-first role with a mix of in-person team meetings, with mandatory 2-Day Quarterly Company Conferences across various UK locations and optional Monthly Socials in London and Birmingham.

An exciting opportunity to join a high-growth technology scale-up focused on eliminating fuel poverty and improving living standards in Social Housing as a Data Analyst.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join Switchee’s Data team, delivering data analysis projects and contributing to our business intelligence reporting suite. You will report into the Data Analysis Lead.
Data is critical to Switchee’s future. The insights we generate help tenants in social housing save money and energy and live more comfortably. They also help social landlords manage their properties more effectively so they can increase their reach, helping more people and targeting their resources most effectively.
A key goal of our Data Analysis function is to enable Switchee and our customers to make more informed decisions by turning data into insights and clear actions. Your work will help to tell impactful stories for our clients addressing real challenges they are facing as well as enabling our internal teams to manage our products more effectively and better understand how they are being used. The insights you deliver will help to drive a real change of outcomes in the world around us.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Your key responsibilities include the following:

  • Work closely with the Customer Success team to deliver client-specific data analysis packaged into impactful and engaging reports.
  • Work closely with the Product team to develop business intelligence reports and data analysis solutions that are embedded into our core product.
  • Present technical work to a variety of internal stakeholders, using your knowledge of Switchee and social housing to provide context and explanation around your analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to add value to Switchee and our clients through pro active exploration of our data and conversations with different stakeholders.
  • Ensure best practice is followed with all of your work, such as maintaining good documentation and implementing data visualisation best practices.
  • Assist with Data Science projects, such as the development and validation of new algorithms and insights as required.

  • Minimum of 1 year of commercial experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence developer.
  • Experienced working independently to produce analysis with actionable insights.
  • You have worked closely with data users on solving concrete business problems.
  • You have experience working with BI/ Data Visualisation tools, in particular Power BI.
  • You have a good understanding of data visualisation best practices, and are able to tell impactful stories with data.
  • Experienced working with SQL Databases/ Data Warehouses and proficient at performing standard queries to extract and manipulate data.
  • Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis.
  • Strong communication skills and a natural problem-solver
