Tetra Tech’s Disaster Recovery Unit is looking for Travel Data Analysts to assist in maintaining quality control of the datasets from debris operations incurred by our clients during recent disasters. This is a traveling in person position to travel from project to project across the US. All travel accommodations are pre booked and paid for. Daily Per Diem provided when traveling.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Ability to work 7 days a week, 12 hours a day
  • Must be available for short-term travel to support on-site client needs and extended deployment (i.e. 90+ days) to address client response and long-term recovery needs to following emergencies and major disasters (if candidate not local to effected area)
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft PowerBI or similar business analysis software
  • Must be able to work with a large team of individuals
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to understand and apply FEMA program policies and guidance
  • Intuition and forward-thinking is a plus while working to accomplish goals
  • Must be motivated and results-oriented
  • Professional self-presentation and communication
  • Extraordinary attention to minute detail

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of project data using software such as Microsoft Excel and PowerBI
  • Ability to comprehend and apply a particular scope of practice and workflow process
  • Quality assurance and quality control of project data
  • Generating daily reports regarding project metrics, work completion, and cost
  • Digital file organization of project documents
  • Work through a field team in order to relay vital project information and accuracy
  • Completion of client data inquiries as requested by project management
  • Reading comprehension and application of federal policies to project data
    Job role will progress and change as experience is acquired. Every employee begins as an entry level analyst to develop and progress understanding of required tasks. These tasks will include data entry and reconciliation, project reporting, and file organization, among others. Individuals who display extreme competency at assigned tasks may eventually be given the opportunity to take on a larger role in the disaster recovery process, including communication with clients and/or FEMA representatives.
