Sitting in our Direct to Consumer (Disney+) team, Data Analysts in the ANZ Analytics team are the experimentation and analytics partner for the Disney+ local team in Australia. This role will focus on driving customer growth and retention, marketing effectiveness and content engagement on Disney+ through measurement, analysis, and insight generation. These analysts focus on improving business results through the combination of statistical rigor, data analysis, and fast paced execution with an emphasis on driving actionable business recommendations.

You are a logical thinker who gets enjoyment from developing insights from the data you are working with and using this information to tell a story that can inform and evolve business decisions. While you love to deep dive into the data, you also understand that collaboration is a critical part of your role and get energy from working with your team and wider business.

Responsibilities:

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT WILL NOT BE LIMITED TO:

  • Business Performance Reporting, Visualization, and Regression Management: Be a primary partner for cross-functional stakeholders to understand performance of the platform. When a metric is ahead or behind expectations, dig in to drive meaningful, actionable insights that help the business performance improve or double-down on success.
  • Deep-Dive Analysis: Analyze user behavioral data to identify patterns, uncover opportunities, and create common understanding of how people are interacting with marketing, content and platform.
  • Partnership: Partner closely with business stakeholders to identify and unlock opportunities, and with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, testing platforms, data visualization, and data architecture. Be a data ambassador, coaching best practice in use of reporting tools and data enrichment and governance.
  • Forecasting, and Opportunity Sizing: Both to set goals and help evaluate potential opportunities, this analyst will be tasked with forecasting and opportunity sizing. This will help business stakeholders evaluate trade-offs in different approaches, and create targets for driving business performance.
  • Experimentation: Enact test plans, define success metrics, and ensure accurate results methodologically, technically, and statistically.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Bachelor degree in an analytical or relevant field
  • 2+ years work experience developing in SQL, especially in an ETL processing pipeline
  • 1+ years of analytical experience
  • Technical Skills (SQL, Python, R or other statistical programming language)
  • Proficiency in writing and building queries to bring together data
  • Ability to build and understand data structures with an enjoyment of using data to bring insights and tell the story
  • Ability to examines issues from a broad perspective while considering impact beyond immediate scope
  • Data visualisation skills with the ability to present data in engaging and informative ways
