Data Analyst Job Description
Gather data from multiple locations to provide aggregate data and visual reports to executives to drive growth, identify shortcomings and improve sales strategies and business processes. Work with application developers to create meaningful outputs based on business requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Extract and present data from Epicor ERP as well as legacy data from other sources
- Create weekly and monthly reports as well as live dashboards to present business critical information
- Develop queries in ERP software/SQL
- Develop dashboards to present live data
- Develop KPIs to measure improvement
- Support and assist all departments to implement, create, and/or modify useful reports to increase efficiency, information sharing, and performance analysis
Education and Qualifications
- A BS/BA in Business Analyst Information Systems or related field
- Experience with ERP systems and business processes
- Experience with Epicor ERP a plus but will train if needed
- SQL database experience
- Expert in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to summarize and share large amounts of data
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at creating queries, writing reports and presenting findings
