Responsibilities:

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are looking for our first ever Data Analyst to join our team and spearhead data analytics efforts across the entire organization. You’ll partner with cross-functional leaders to develop analytical rigor and baseline reporting for their teams, providing them with the necessary information to make smart, strategic, data-informed decisions.
As an early member of the team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of data at Writer. You’ll help define our metrics layer and consolidate our data into a single source of truth. You’ll have to navigate between data modeling, dashboarding and stakeholder management. You’ll constantly be challenged with hard problems, while juggling many data requests. If you are passionate about getting the “so what” out of any analysis and bringing your insights to life, we want to hear from you!

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze data to extract meaningful insights, and identify trends and patterns to inform business decisions
  • Data Modeling: Design and build new ELT-based data models using SQL and dbt, implementing efficient testing and validation to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data
  • Reporting: Create dashboards and visualizations that will lead to better business outcomes, product development prioritization and higher operational efficiencies
  • Collaboration: Partner with Product, Marketing, GTM and other cross-functional teams to standardize and report on key metrics, while supporting each team with their ad-hoc reporting needs
  • Data literacy: Develop resources to empower data access. Drive the vision, building, and adoption of self-service analytic capabilities
  • Data leadership: Champion best practices and serve as a subject matter expert in data modeling, analytics, and visualization
