Senior Data Engineer
Full Time Permanent Opportunity
At Greenstone, we are truly analytics driven business, with analytics driving and informing decisions across all aspects of the business. In this role you will be responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining the new Databricks environment to ensure the platform’s stability, scalability, and security while optimizing for data engineering and analytics workflows. Our team leverage Databricks platform to run analytics, Machine Learning algorithms and data pipelines, so reliable and timely access to data and computation resource is essential for our business.
Ideally you will hold industry experience for Databricks CI/CD pipelines, Databricks development and production environment setup. Working across the wider Analytics function, you will also build data engineering pipelines by collaborating with our analysts and data scientists, managing analytics computation resource.
What are we looking for?
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- 3–5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience managing Databricks environments (ideally in the last 3 years).
- Strong experience in SQL and Python (3 years+).
- Proven experience in managing cloud-based infrastructure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable
- Exposure to financial service industry
- CICD tools: Azure DevOps, Jenkins
