Description:
Reporting to the Head of IT and Finance, the Data and Analytics Manager is responsible for driving forward IPAF’s Data Strategy and working with all departments to build data-driven results across the organisation. This stand-alone role requires a hands-on approach to data management, collection, and analysis to identify trends and provide IPAF with valuable information to improve marketing, operational, and business practices.
SKILLS, COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent.
- Solid knowledge of big data tools like Azure and database systems like SQL.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI.
- Familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools, such as Tableau.
- Excellent analytical skills to scrutinise data for inaccuracies.
- Solid programming skills and in-depth knowledge of statistical methods.
- Strong ability to decipher and organise large amounts of data.
- Proficiency in producing informative, relevant, and user-friendly reports
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Previous experience in data management and analysis.
- Proven experience in supporting and implementing complex data management systems.
- Experience in maintaining high-standard data security practices.
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages, database systems, and big data tools.
- Experience in quality assurance and data visualisation development.
- Hands-on data analytical experience
Responsibilities:
THE MAIN DUTIES OF THIS ROLE ARE TO:
- Develop and implement IPAF’s Data Strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives.
- Manage relationships with IT providers.
- Design and implement databases and reports to address business needs.
- Analyse data for inconsistencies to ensure consistency in reporting.
- Design KPIs for reporting and business performance.
- Manage all data-related projects and provide management information on initiatives.
- Oversee commercials for pricing agreements and rebates.
- Apply best practices in data storage, organisation, cleaning, and mining.
- Develop and implement policies for effective data handling and management.
- Assess systems and recommend necessary software, hardware, and storage upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in data management protocols.
- Streamline data collection and analysis procedures for quick access to metrics.
- Use data mining to extract information, identify correlations, and predict trends.
- Organise and transform information into comprehensible structures.
- Perform statistical analysis of data.
- Visualise data using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Prepare and present reports to management, suppliers, and customers.
- Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities through process improvements.
- Monitor data quality and remove corrupt data.
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements
