Description:
The University of Cambridge is seeking to appoint a Data and Systems Administrator focusing on postgraduate admissions. This is a permanent role in the Postgraduate Admissions Office’s Information and Systems team of six. The Postgraduate Admissions Office co-ordinates the admission of applicants for doctoral and non-doctoral postgraduate courses at the University of Cambridge; we currently receive in excess of 30,000 applications from the United Kingdom and internationally annually, and admit over 4,500 students.
In this role you will lead on extracting and providing data to service reporting requests - both internal (from Education Services teams, departments and Colleges) and external (e.g. Freedom of Information requests) ¿ and be involved in managing and refining data visualisation dashboards. You will also lead on technical procedures to ensure that the postgraduate admissions systems hold accurate and consistent data (with a particular focus on our course directory) and provide training and guidance to support internal system users. You will also help support the team in managing and maintain the postgraduate admissions systems by providing first line admissions systems support for the course database, postgraduate applicant portal and student administrative system (CamSIS) to applicants and University staff.
This role will suit someone who enjoys problem solving, working with data and providing impactful solutions. The work is fast-paced and full of variety. You will be pro-active and work with excellent attention to detail. You will be able to work well collaboratively, but also be comfortable taking responsibility for your own work and workload.
