Our client is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Data Archiving Paralegal to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal part in ensuring compliance with the Forensic Science Regulator Act 2021 Code of Practice. You will be instrumental in shaping procedures, practices, and policies while gaining unique insights into the workings of a Data Archiving team.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Data Archiving Paralegal, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our client’s digital evidence services are compliant with all relevant regulations. Your role will involve developing clear archiving policies, automating data archiving processes, and maintaining secure access logs. You’ll also be tasked with planning for scalability to ensure that the archival system can grow alongside the Digital Forensic Unit’s needs. Your keen eye for detail will be crucial in identifying areas for improvement and providing actionable insights.

  • Develop a clear archiving policy inline with the FSR Code, ISO 17025 and company Policies.
  • Automate data archiving and retrieval using technological solutions.
  • Develop robust case ontology to organise complex data more effectively.
  • Track and log who accesses the archive for security purposes.
  • Ensure the archival system can grow with the Digital Forensic Unit’s needs.
  • Maintain backups of both digital and physical archives for redundancy.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide actionable insights to enhance productivity, efficiency, or effectiveness.
  • Diagnose underlying causes of performance gaps and recommend solutions.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager, DFU Manager and Performance Analyst to achieve compliance to the FSR Code and ISO 17025 requirements.

You’ll have a proven track record of investigating and assessing information from various sources, and you’ll be comfortable working with LPP material within a law enforcement, legal or financial organisation. Your strong attention to detail will ensure data accuracy and reliability, while your excellent communication skills will enable you to present findings clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Strong organisational skills with proven ability to manage a varied workload.
