Job Description
We are currently looking for a seasoned Data Business Analyst who will be leading the BA function within the Group Data Operations team. The post holder will be working closely with the Head of Delivery where they will be responsible for shaping and implementing the strategy of the function. This will include focussing on maturing ways of working within the current product teams, balancing agile delivery methodologies against the need for robust requirements engineering.
The ideal candidate will also be responsible for the line management of up to 3 Business Analysts, providing pastoral support along with regular guidance and coaching on their roles.
What you’ll be doing:
- Creating and validating of User Stories and working closely with the Product Owner in defining and prioritising the Product Backlog.
- Scoping and shaping the analysis approach from EPIC level information at Product Level
- Supporting the Product Owner / Heads of in identifying the EPIC User Stories, building and prioritising the product backlogs
- Shaping and implementing the strategy of the BA function within Group Data Operations
- Carrying out some Product Owner responsibilities when required
- Providing assignment support and direction to BA’s including setting the analysis approach and defining the outcomes/end deliverables
- Managing and influencing senior stakeholder alignment and communication at various levels across multiple business areas
- Supporting product managers across business divisions, encouraging innovation and the identification of customer-centred journeys and experiences.
- Acting as role model for BA’s in the team
- Managing, motivating and developing employees at all levels, in a manner that is consistent with the company’s policies and procedures the including Partnership Agreement, to maximise the performance of the area.
