Job Description
As the Site Consultant for a Global/Regional Data Center I ensure effective and timely coordination of CI Infrastructure activities and overall management of the specified sites by applying the GDC/RDC processes, services and tools.

Consulting

  • Coordination of customer projects/activities within the GDC/RDC
  • Interface to customer & order teams (first point of contact) to fulfill requirements
  • Supports internal coordination (incl. prisonization) of timelines & task for HW installations
  • Consults and documents the datacenter service scope
  • Consults other PSOs teams and solutions teams as well as the datacenter teams in their activities in the GDC/RDC
  • ACI Rollout Coordination

Data Center Management

  • Integrate CI standards & products into the GDC/RDC
  • Build and maintain a relationship with relevant stakeholders and customer for the GDC/RDC
  • Define, report and improve relevant KPIs
  • Coordinates quality management activities
  • Supports business planning in alignment with controlling

Processes, Tools & Standardization

  • International standardization and global alignment of processes
  • Coordination of global teams to improve service and ensures local and international knowledge transfer
  • Design, implement and documents new standards and processes for the service
  • Coordinate tool landscape and implements requirements
  • Supports business planning in alignment with controlling

Vendor / ESP Management

  • First point of contact for service management
  • Service package maintenance
  • Financial planning & tracking
  • Concept creation for upcoming requirements

Logistic Management

  • Supports remarketing and logistics processes

Other Tasks

  • Coordinate audits
  • Planning & Coordination of Projects and new IT-Rooms and/or buildings
  • Supports other teams PSO in their audits for datacenter related topics
  • Required knowledge competencies and attributes
  • Skill/Competency Cluster: Consulting Knowledge

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center management, consulting, or a related field.
  • Understanding of BD (department) Services and Products and their connection to each other
  • Proven project management & consulting experience
  • Experience in international cooperation & communication
  • Advance knowledge in process and tool management
  • Understanding of Business Planning and Hardware Lifecyle processes
  • Experience in resource planning & coordination
  • Understanding in operation of Data Centers and Datacenter Infrastructure
  • Experience in datacenter processes & value creation
  • Basic knowledge in Electric/Electronic related engineering or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge in energy efficiency and carbon neutrality
  • Target oriented and able to work independently
  • Working flexibility, willing to work onsite / ability to travel
  • Entrepreneurial thinking (economic, customer & service oriented)
  • Ability to coordinate external service provider (ESPs)
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
