Data Center Engineer (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure: You ensure the trouble-free operation of the data center infrastructure and carry out maintenance measures on your own responsibility
• Security & optimization: You further develop our infrastructure, especially with regard to security standards, and optimize its performance
• Administration: You will look after our Microsoft Azure environments and virtualization solutions (e.g. Nutanix)
• Support: You will provide 3rd level support for our servers and systems
• Project management: You will plan, manage and lead local and global projects to implement and optimize highly available IT solutions
• Fault analysis: You analyze and solve complex faults and problems and restore operations as quickly as possible
• Technology: You use the latest technologies such as AI, DevOps, PowerShell and Terraform to future-proof the IT environment

Qualifications

• IT qualification: You have successfully completed your vocational training or studies in the field of IT
• Technical & international: You own several years of experience in system administration in an international environment (ideally in a manufacturing company)
• Design and security: You are very familiar with server design and security concepts, especially in PIM/PAM, hardening and tiering
• Server knowledge: Very good knowledge of Microsoft Server OS, Active Directory, Exchange Server (On-Prem and M365), Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft PKI
• Virtualization: You possess experience in virtualization solutions (e.g. PaaS, IaaS, VDI) as well as knowledge of Azure and Google Cloud infrastructure
• Data backup: Sound experience with backup systems (preferably CommVault), DR strategies and information security round off your professional profile
• Personal: A professional standing, personal responsibility, proactivity, risk awareness, precise work and the ability to work in a team are a matter of course for you
