Description:

As the DCT Team Leader in Dublin, you will lead and manage a team of technicians, fostering a positive, proactive, and inclusive environment. Your primary focus will be on your team’s well-being, performance, and development, ensuring exceptional customer service results are consistently delivered. You will serve as the main point of contact for our customers in Dublin, maintaining and building strong relationships while delivering operational excellence.
Your leadership will involve setting team priorities, coaching team members, and driving initiatives that foster continuous improvement. You will ensure all project goals are met on time and within budget, while maintaining safety and efficiency across operations. Regular reporting on team performance and quick response to escalations will be key elements of your responsibilities.
You will also play a significant role in pre-cabling projects, ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the installation and maintenance processes. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure resource allocation and execution align with the overall project requirements.
As part of an international operations management team, you will collaborate with peers across regions to share best practices and drive performance. This role requires you to work closely with other teams, ensure proper resource allocation, and execute people development strategies.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience leading teams, with a strong focus on people management, mentoring, and team development.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to meet performance goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on building relationships with clients and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in data centre operations, technical services, or logistics is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance within a technical environment.
  • Resilience and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Availability to travel within Europe for occasional site visits and team collaboration.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant certifications such as EUP, CompTIA, BICSI, CNCI, CDCTP, CFOT, Panduit, CCNA, DCIS, or equivalent.
  • Project management experience in data centres, with a focus on pre-cabling projects and structured cabling installations.
  • Experience with structured cabling projects management.
  • Knowledge of Facility Security requirements and experience working in highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & People Management: Lead and mentor a team of DCTs reporting to Technical Programme Manager, focusing on team performance, well-being, and growth. Provide coaching and ensure continuous development through ATC’s training programs.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards of safety and quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to allocate resources effectively and meet operational needs.
  • Customer Relations: Act as the primary contact for customers in Dublin, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction. Resolve issues swiftly, proactively address challenges, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Performance Management: Track and report on team performance, using KPIs and data-driven metrics to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement. Implement corrective actions and ensure continuous improvement across your team.
  • Process Improvement: Drive initiatives that optimize team performance, reduce inefficiencies, and improve overall service quality. Play a key role in ongoing change management processes.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections in collaboration with the Safety Engineer.
  • Pre-Cabling Projects: Lead the planning and execution of pre-cabling projects, ensuring installations meet the highest industry standards, safety requirements, and client expectations.
  • Reporting & Escalation: Provide regular updates on operational performance to senior management. Respond to escalations and lead problem-solving efforts to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Travel & Collaboration: Collaborate with international peers to share best practices, with occasional travel to other regions.
