ABOUT THE NATIONAL SERVICE OFFICE
The National Service Office is the central operational engine for two evidence-based programs: Nurse-Family Partnership and Child First. In 2020, what was formerly the National Service Office solely for Nurse-Family Partnership united with Child First, a merger empowering two proven models to share complementary expertise, infrastructure and integrated services. The resulting unified entity works to ensure that healthcare, early childhood development, and the mental wellness of the entire family are served in proven ways to achieve long-term positive outcomes.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Data Collection Product Manager will be responsible for driving product vision, overseeing the product lifecycle, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data collection products and processes that meet customer needs and business objectives. This position will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of all NSO’s data collection products, including data integrations with third-party DCS platforms utilized by customers. This position is responsible for delivering and communicating the status of data collection offerings to our network, overseeing deployment of new features, gathering/analyzing network feedback, delivering system training, and tracking current user statistics. The best candidate for this position will possess a comprehensive understanding of data collection needs and requirements across different domains and departments.
This position is remote and can be located anywhere in the United States, excluding California, Arizona, New York, Alaska, Montana, and Vermont.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with technical teams in an Agile framework.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience providing direct customer support for data collection products.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience developing, implementing, and supporting data collection definitions, and standards.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience collaborating with cross-functional teams within the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience coordinating end-user communication, training, and change management strategies.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in program and customer-facing change management.
- Experience in supporting reporting products in a public health field preferred.
- Experience with CRM software, Salesforce preferred.
- Experience working with HL7 and ANSI healthcare standards preferred.
- Experience supporting clinical data collection systems preferred.
- Experience using SQL preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, projects, and timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
40% Strategic Planning and Roadmap Building: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and plan strategy to define data collection objectives. Develop and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps for all data collection systems. Create and maintain data mapping documentation, incorporating feedback from stakeholders. Collaborate with the Product Manager, Reporting to align data collection roadmaps with reporting roadmaps. Possess a working knowledge of API fundamentals and programmatic system-to-system integrations. Ensure that data collection systems and enhancements align with the organization’s Data Governance framework policies by working with stakeholders to understand business requirements and collaborating with the Data Governance BA to document business rules.
30% Product and Process Management: Work closely with internal departments to ensure data hygiene, integrity, and alignment between data collection and reporting metrics. Ensure the availability, compatibility, and functionality of data collection systems in collaboration with the Technical Product Owner. Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, including feature prioritization, user acceptance testing, and ongoing maintenance. Conduct regular assessments of data collection systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Utilize basic SQL skills to analyze queries and data processed through ETL transactions. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in healthcare data collection systems and EHRs.
30% Stakeholder Engagement, Training, and Support: Provide direct training to the Customer Support team to enhance their ability to assist customers using NSO supported data collection systems. Lead user adoption initiatives and oversee training and support initiatives to maximize utilization of data collection tools by customers and stakeholders. Oversee customer-facing change management plans to ensure smooth transitions for customers when changes are implemented. Evangelize product features, changes, and purpose to stakeholders.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position reports to the Manager, IS Products and has no direct reports.
