Description:

Stowe Australia, one of Australia’s largest Electrical & Communications Contractors is looking to engage the services of a Data/Communications/Telecommunications Supervisor for our construction division.

IDEAL APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal applicant will possess the following abilities and skills:

  • Experience in the management of telecommunications data cabling installations.
  • Diploma in management or previous experience in a similar role.
  • Solid knowledge of financial reporting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in drawing take offs, estimating and variations
  • ACMA open cabling registration with structured fibre endorsements.
  • Experience in Prep, Splice and Terminate fibre optic cabling.
  • OTDR testing and fibre Commissioning.
  • Use of Fluke Software.
  • A proven track record in the successful management of communication / data projects or business units is preferred.
  • Unrestricted drivers’ licence

HIGHLY DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • NV1 security clearance
  • Cert III Telecommunications
  • Unrestricted electrical licence
  • Microsoft office
  • Excel

Reporting to the Project Managers, the successful candidate would have experience in,

  • Large scale office fit out data cabling installations.
  • Commercial data cabling installations.
  • Extensive fibre experience.
  • CAT6A certification.
  • Technical Design and Support: Involvement in technical design and support for projects, project estimates, variations, material take-offs, and vendor certifications.
  • Planning and Coordination: Ability to plan and coordinate field work, while effectively liaising with estimators, project managers, and data/communication site personnel.
  • Training and Upskilling: Training and upskilling communication personnel.
  • Vendor Relations: Liaising with communication vendors and managing their relationship with our business
